Target cover and target cover for transmission: use blowing balloon to blow dust from the target cover. (do not touch with your fingers or wipe the inside or edge of the target cover with a cloth).
White correction plate (optional): if there is dust on the white correction plate, use a dry dye cloth to gently wipe off the dust. If the dust is difficult to wipe off, first wet the soft cloth with a commercially available wiping solution, and then wipe the calibration plate.
If there is dust on other parts except for the white calibration plate, wipe the dust gently with a cloth moistened with water or soap solution. It is strictly prohibited to use diluent or benzene and other solvents.
Zero position correction box (optional): blow out the dust in the box with a blowing balloon. If your hand or fingers accidentally touch the inner surface of the calibration box, gently wipe off fingerprints or other traces with a dry soft cloth.
Calibration procedure of CM-5 spectrophotometer:
1. Align the dish with the target cover to the positioning groove on the instrument, and then push it in.
2. To perform zero correction: insert the calibration glass of the dish into the concave of the target cover of the dish.

3. To carry out whiteboard correction: usually use the built-in white correction plate in the shading plate for correction, so it is not necessary to install the correction plate, you can carry out the following steps for whiteboard correction:

Align the white calibration plate with the positioning groove on the target cover of the dish, and then push it in.

The correction data of the white correction plate is measured at a temperature of 23 ° C. In order to achieve the highest accuracy when measuring absolute value (chroma value), try to calibrate and measure at 23 ° C.
Do not scratch or stain the white alignment plate (optional).
