The key to success for the modern professional print business is automation and accuracy. The Japan FD-9 Autoscan Spectrophotometer is the ideal tool for print color management, combining speed, accuracy, ease-of-use and versatility.
The FD-9 reads 1,500 patches in just 4 minutes and within one single scan users obtain data for M0, M1 and M2, conforming to ISO13655:2009 and offering improved certainty of colors and OBA. The FD-9 uses a free-format-function enabling it to measure virtually every chart that might be used to calibrate printers and create profiles. Making it even easier to use is it has a full color LCD screen which provides enhanced user operation. It also features both USB and Ethernet connectivity enabling you to easily share one FD-9 between multiple machines. With the unique integrated image scanner, it enables automatic chart alignment and can read QR codes for fully automated sheet and chart identification. Similar to the groundbreaking FD-7, the FD-9 features built-in wavelength calibration and temperature drift compensation, maximizing day to day accuracy and reliability. FD-9 also includes FD-S2w measurement utility software as a standard accessory. The software enables easy measurement of color charts with or without definition file.
The optional automatic sheet feeder enables continuous measurement which is perfect for users who have to measure dozens of sheets every day. The automatic sheet feeder enables up to 100 sheets to be pre-loaded and measured with minimal user input. Combined with the QR code reader function, the measurement results can be automatically linked to the printed sheet.
